Every second, a slice of rainforest the size of a football field is destroyed resulting in over 31 million football fields of rainforest being sacrificed to unsustainable agriculture, ranching and mining every year. The loss of the rainforest results in a decrease in habitat and biodiversity. Significant measures must be taken world-wide to preserve them. If not, by 2030 there will only be 10% of rainforest remaining with another 10% in a degraded condition. This means 80% of our forests will have been lost and with them the irreversible loss of hundreds of thousands of species will also be gone too. You can make a difference.
